BLACKWOOD, NJ – On Saturday, March 17, more than 250 students from Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties in grades 6 through 12 will participate in the 31st Annual Coriell Institute for Medical Research Science Fair at Camden County College in Blackwood.
The competition routinely attracts some of the most gifted and talented students from throughout South Jersey and will represent several scientific disciplines, such as biochemistry, physics, medicine and health, and engineering. This year's project titles include:
A diverse and accomplished panel of over 70 trained judges will evaluate the projects and determine scores based on strength of presentation and comprehension of subject matter. Cash prizes and college scholarships will be awarded to outstanding participants, and the top placing student scientists will advance to the Delaware Valley Science Fair April 3 – April 5 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.
The Coriell Institute's Science Fair has developed into a community staple and serves to emphasize the tri-county area's depth of academic talent. Year after year the bright and dedicated participants apply themselves to produce impressive and inventive work.
Proud parents and science enthusiasts are invited to attend Saturday, March 17. Student presentations and judging will take place between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., with the award ceremony to follow at noon.
