Working together with the Coriell Institute for Medical Research, the Orphan Disease Center (www.orphandiseasecenter.med.upenn.edu) and the JumpStart Program have established a secure, centralized repository to store and distribute quality-controlled induced pluripotent stem cells (or iPSCs) representing rare disorders, to give research scientists access to this resource of biomaterials, and to support the discovery of therapeutics that will slow or prevent these diseases.
