NIGMS Repository staff traveled to Toronto this month to attend and host an exhibit booth at the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting. This conference brings together experts in medical genetics and genomics to share groundbreaking research, discuss emerging technologies, and advance the field of clinical genetics.
The meeting featured presentations on a wide range of topics, including advancements in genetic testing, rare disease diagnostics, and the ethical considerations of genomic medicine. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with researchers, clinicians, and industry leaders to explore how new discoveries can be translated into improved patient care.
Workshops and panel discussions focused on key issues such as variant interpretation, gene therapy developments, and expanding access to genetic services. These sessions provided a platform to exchange ideas on integrating genomic data into clinical practice and addressing challenges in precision medicine.
By participating in ACMG 2024, the NIGMS Repository continues to stay at the forefront of clinical genetics research, fostering collaborations that enhance our mission to support biomedical discoveries and improve health outcomes.
