Remarks |
The Egyptian donor had severe skin features of XP and a tumor of the tongue. She had no neurological involvement. Her parents are first cousins. The skin biopsy was taken ante-mortem on 3/19/80. The culture was initiated using explants of minced skin tissue. The cell morphology is fibroblast-like. The karyotype is 46,XX; normal diploid female. Complementation group assignment and DNA repair deficiency have been verified for this culture (XP14CA). The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product. |
