| Remarks |
Culture derived from a Fisher 344 rat of Charles River strain. The culture was initiated on 2/8/78 by trypsin digestion of an intact left lung lobe. The released cells were plated on cover-slip fragments and fragments with only epithelial cells were passaged. Cell morphology is epithelial-like. The karyotype is near diploid: 41,X/41,X,11q+; 60%/40%. The culture may be immortal. The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product. |
